Choice Setting | Description |
Static Choice |
This option can be used with question randomization logic. When this logic is applied, a question choice with static choice enabled will remain in the same location for every user. TIP! If you have an "Other" choice, and wish to Randomize, or Alphabetize your choices, this will ensure that Other is always at the bottom of the list. |
Score |
Scoring allows you to assign a value to each choice. This is commonly used in Reviewer Forms. NOTE: By default the Score will be None. This means that no custom score has been set and the choice will take on the default score. The default score for the choices is based on its placement in the list: Choice 1 = 1 Point, Choice 5 = 5 Points etc. TIP! If you do not want a choice to have a value, enter 0 as the score associated with a choice. |
Branch to |
In addition to using the Branching Wizard in the form editor, you have the option of applying simple branching logic directly to the question choice. To set this up:
|
Display | Description |
Display side-by-side |
Display this question side by side with another question. NOTE: This will need to be enabled on the other question as well. |
Append to previous question |
This question type appends to the question before it to make it appear that they are connected within the form. NOTE: Any Branching Logic, such as to hide or show the previous question, will also apply to this question. |
Width |
You can adjust the width based on a percentage of the size of the page. By default, the value is 100% to make it to the fit the page size. |
Options | Description |
Optional |
Enabling this will make the question Optional. When a user enters the form, if the question is Optional they will be able to proceed and complete the form without providing a response to this question. |
Randomize choices |
Selecting this option randomizes the choices within the Dropdown upon each form refresh. |
Alphabetize choices |
Choices within your Dropdown will appear in alphabetical order (A-Z). TIP! Use this if you are going to be adding choices to your form after already collecting data. This will allow you to maintain your alphabetical order without jeopardizing your data. Refer to How to Safely Make Changes to a Live Form for more information. |
Initial Value |
Allows you to specify pre-populated answers to questions in your form. By default, this option is blank "---". |
Blank Choice |
The initial value displays, indicating that a selection wasn't made. This will not count towards a response if selected. |
