Within FluidReview, it is possible to create and update categories for individual submissions, as well as submission groups. Categories can be very helpful for site organization and restricting
To add a submission category to the site:
- Click on Manage your site
- Under Submissions, select the name of the applicant group you wish to add the category to
- Click the Categories button in the top right corner
NOTE: This will take you to a hub where you can manage submission categories for ALL applicant groups - Click Add
- Enter the names of your categories
NOTE: If you are entering multiple categories in bulk, enter one per line - Select the Applicant group the categories are being created for.
NOTE: This will be populated automatically based on the applicant group you selected in step 2. - Click Save

- Click on Manage your site
- Under Submissions, select the name of an applicant group
- Click the Categories button in the top right corner
NOTE: This will take you to a hub where you can manage submission categories for ALL applicant groups - Select Categories you wish to rename
- Click Edit Selected
- Click Save
NOTE: Changing the name of your submission will not have any affect on the submissions within the category. The only change will be that the submission will now appear under the new name of the category.
WARNING! Once a submission category has been deleted it cannot be retrieved within the site.
- Click on Manage your site
- Under Submissions, select the name of an applicant group
- Click the Categories button in the top right corner
NOTE: This will take you to a hub where you can manage submission categories for ALL applicant groups - Select Categories you wish to delete
- Click Delete
- You will be asked "Are you sure you would like to delete the following categories?"
- Confirm by clicking Yes
NOTE: Deleting a submission will not affect the data collected in a submission, it will simply remove all submissions from the category being deleted

Task Restrictions |
Under the Stage & Group tab of any task, apply a category restriction to ensure that the task is only applicable to submissions in a specific stage. Example: Applicant is added to an "Under 18" years old category. As such they will be required to upload a letter of parent/ guardian approval. However, if the applicant is over 18 they are not required to complete this task. Therefore, the task will only be made available to users in the "Under 18" category |
